To All,

I hope everything is ok with you.

I am very happy to know Nashville Kendo Club practice fellows are doing very well and getting good scores.

At the beginning of my life in Nashville I was very confused by the culture gap but I was very lucky to have an opportunity to practice one of the Japanese Budo Kendo with all of you. It encouraged me to make my pain in my heart eased and to refresh my feeling.

Since I went back to Japan I have been struggling through my new position.  I was assigned to a captain of Community police unit of satellite city.  You know I expected that I would be assigned to the intelligence section of head office of my original department.  But I faced up a harsh, bitter and inescapable reality.  I never thought I am treated like this by the human resource section after I spent some time in foreign countries.

I have to work 24hours every three days in uniform taking all responsibility of all the issues and cases police deparment have to deal with.
I was away from police work for several years.  But I have to fulfill my duty as a responsible person for all kind of initial responce immediately after I returned to my country.  However, I have to follow the order.  No matter how difficult it is I will perform my task until I fall down.

I wish the days of Nashville could return to me.  It was a two- years period full of unforgettable events.

I will visit Nashville someday.

See you.

Masanobu Noda

It was nice to hear from Noda-sensei, but it sounds like he is having a little hard time adjusting back to the life in Japan.  I think he could use a lot of cheering up from all of us.  We miss him a lot.   He can be reached at
